Halfway to a clean first round for the Beast, and the best — G-town and Louisville — were reserved for today. No complaints whatsoever so far. Only 20 more wins to an all-Big East round of eight!
Needless to say, if Villanova sneaks past a very good Clemson team, we should all be very happy. I certainly hope it happens. I’m also a little worried about UConn, who we can recognize is a bit of a paper tiger as a 4-seed. If the defense shows up though, as it generally has most of the year, they should be ok.

Make it 7-1 at this point. GTown took care of business and San Diego took care of UConn. The Huskies go home with their tails between their legs after an uninspirational effort against a severely overmatched team. You hit it on the head by saying they didn’t deserve a 4 seed and guess what? The defense didn’t show up! Neither did the offense for the most part. Thabeet was outmuscled and outplayed by Pomare. I’m sure that the only Husky with a heart is Adrien. Just about every team that beat the Huskies this year used a zone. San Diego was no different and they deserved the victory.
