1 Game…..1 Upset

I think this is the way this season is going to go. So far, our league has not looked incredibly powerful, and with a lack of top notch teams, upsets will likely be common place this season. I watched the entire game and was impressed at how well Cincinnati played. Vaughn was very good and their physical nature kept them in the game. Throughout the entire contest I had the feeling they were going to lose, but somehow, they got it done in the end. Before the year, the Bearcats’ outlook was bleak, but now, you’ve got to think they have a good shot to make it to the conference tournament. If they play the way they did today every game, they’ll win 8 or 9 games in this league.
As for Louisville, they’re still clearly struggling. However, I do see promise, especially with Padgett back. Finishing the season with the best conference record is now looking highly unlikely, but I still see alot of hope for the Cards. I think as the year progresses, and this teams heals, they will get better and better. Louisville finished with a great February last year and I still think the when the tournament begins at MSG, they will be regarded as the frontrunner, no matter what the seed. So be patient Cards fans, they’ll get there, but this was indeed a bad loss.

I think Louisville will be ok. They need to form a chemistry with all players back. The Bearcats played well yesterday but still look to be 13th-16th in the league at the end.
For UC, that game was a huge step in the right direction. Ever since the game at Illinois State, the Bearcats have shown improvement, playing Xavier, Memphis, NC State all very tough and getting wins over Miami of Ohio and now Louisville. They are slowly buying into what Coach Cronin has been preaching, playing better defense, attacking the glass and finding better shots. This team should have a chance to sneak into the BIG EAST tourney.
