UNC dominated the first half with offensive rebounding, getting to the line, and great shows of athleticism. Georgetown showed tremendous heart in the second half and I loved every backdoor just as much as Big Willie Style. Thanks to the wonder that is DVR, I was able to catch the game in its entirety. In the end, it was a bit of Syracuse basketball that shut down the Tar Heels; JTIII went to the 2-3, and that was that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Georgetown tried going 2-3 earlier in the game, but backed off after Terry hit a few threes. HOYAS!!!!! You made us Big East fans proud. Another thought: I can't help but think that Pete Carril is smirking back there. I'm so glad JT3 brought the Princeton offense to a big time Division I program. The Princeton offense deserves to be known as a viable, beautiful system -- not some gimmick that only benefits unathletic players. Yes, this was easily the most compelling game of the tournament.
