saw the Huskies the other night vs. Bryant…. After they put up 86 points against the Orange in losing by 6, Huskies beat them 70-45. Huskies struggle to score points…no real take charge offensive player.
Player to watch……. Stanley Robinson #21. 6-9 and plays like a “3″…. Thabeet is getting all the local press here but (1) He cant catch the ball (2) He gets pushed around by 6-5 forwards (3) He blocks a lot of shots but they all end up in the seats…He has to learn to keep his blocks in play to start the fast break… He needs A LOT OF WORK!
Robinson doesnt get a lot of press but watch for him…HE IS SOLID!
Guards….. Watch #11 Dyson…. great defense on and off the ball and has a nice shot..good range from 3
Also #3 Wiggins is very quick but is out of control.
Robinson looks like the best of the Freshmen….
Austrie will probably lose his 2 guard position to Dyson as the season progresses
Adrien plays hard and is tough around the hoop..was 9-12 at the line But he was the high scorer with 15. If Adrien is their best offensive threat they are in trouble
My guess is Robinson will beat out Marcus Johnson at the 3
#12 Price was totally unimpressive in this game and had a bunch of turnovers but he will be their top scorer.
They will be fun to watch (Thabeet is a real comedy show, on his back more than Hilton and lumbers like a duck down the floor behind everyone else) but there is some potential….You will see a lot more full court pressing from them this year…Very good defensivly and quick on D

“He has to learn to keep his blocks in play to start the fast break” — I’ve said this dozens of times about various shotblockers and always been ridiculed. The better shotblockers we’ve seen–guys like Mourning, Marshall, and Okafor–definitely made a concerted effort to keep ‘em in.
